  • How to Keep and Cleans Your Mala
We recommend wearing your mala often as you can when you have first acquired it. This will allow the seeds and gemstones to attune to your energy. As we mentioned please avoid placing your mala on the ground as it is sacred. Instead, we recommend keeping it in a special place, like an altar, when you are not using it. The mala can be cleansed using sage or palo santo and charged under full moonlight. You can leave your mala in the sunlight for a short time but be careful as extreme heat can damage the crystals and Amethyst for example will fade in the sun. Be careful with water, in particular, if you have wooden beads. If you need to clean your mala use just a damp cloth and gently clean your mala. It is not advisable to wear your mala during exercises or while doing any strenuous activities as it can break.
